What does it mean to get a “Montessori educational experience?”
Brickton Montessori provides an authentic Montessori education, preparing today’s students for tomorrow. The Montessori approach is transformative. Our non-traditional methods are both time-tested and innovative. We focus on whole child development — academically, emotionally and socially. Our aim is to ignite the inner spark in each child and build lifelong learners.
Describe the importance of self-motivation in your students
Children are born with deep curiosity; a Montessori classroom is prepared to support each student’s enthusiasm. We believe self-motivation is present in each child, and often shows itself in their eagerness to learn. Brickton Montessori’s staff is committed to unlocking each child’s inner drive and connecting them to the joy in learning.

How has Brickton Montessori changed — and stayed the same — since it opened its doors in 1986?
After nearly four decades, Brickton Montessori is still committed to bringing the highest quality education to our families. We were one of the first Montessori schools in the area to be fully accredited by regional educational organizations, and we continue to follow Montessori best practices while embracing new technologies. Brickton strives to be a friendly community, adjusting to meet the evolving needs of our families.
Our students move forward with the confidence to be leaders, the competence to take on new responsibilities, and the sense of community that drives them to make their world a better place.
Explain the importance of the three Cs of the Brickton graduate?
Graduates of Brickton Montessori focus on confidence, competence and community, better known as “The 3 Cs.” Our students move forward with the confidence to be leaders, the competence to take on new responsibilities, and the sense of community that drives them to make their world a better place.
What’s involved in your popular summer camps?
Our summer camp programs are a time for creativity and exploration. Each week has a unique theme, which allows the students and teachers to delve deep into a subject matter. Campers learn about astronomy, botany, geography, history, and more, all presented in a fun and educational way. We embrace the great outdoors, including nearby forest preserves and parks, plus a splash day or two when temperatures climb!
