Renata’s Organic Skincare is truly outstanding. The ambiance creates a relaxing, rejuvenating atmosphere from the moment you step inside. The customer service is consistently impeccable, with a team that genuinely cares about delivering an exceptional experience. The quality of services is top-notch, making it the ultimate go-to for organic skincare in the area. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a professional, serene and rejuvenating experience.

Had a little oopsie with my Mac laptop a couple weeks ago and broke the screen. I took it over to Tech City on Devon for a repair, and the owner was incredibly nice and knowledgeable. It’s a couple years old, and while he could’ve hit me for full price on a brand-new screen, instead he found me a used option for near half the cost that was in perfect working shape. I dropped it off when they opened and had it back by 4 p.m. I couldn’t possibly recommend them more for any electronic repairs you might need.

I just wanted to recommend anyone who has auto problems to consider taking their vehicle to Atlas Auto on Higgins. I recently brought my vehicle there for repairs and felt they did a great job in setting expectations with timing and cost. I experienced some additional issues with my vehicle after the original repairs were completed, and Atlas stepped up to address those items at no extra cost and even went so far as to provide me their personal cells to contact them outside of work hours. It’s a great local family business to support.

Shout out to Lemon Tiramisu Bakery for making an amazing holiday cookie decorating kit. 100 cookies, frosting, and lots of toppings to keep the kiddos entertained at a holiday event. They did an awesome job!

— Lisa W.

Chiropractors can help so many issues, and it’s noninvasive. Dr. Whitney Fandel at Family Tree Chiropractic here in Park Ridge is amazing and honest. If she can’t help you, she will guide you on your next move.

My house looks brand new! I am so happy I went with Northwind Exteriors to install a new roof, gutters and James Hardie siding. They did an amazing and high-quality job. I have received several compliments from neighbors on the new look.

We ate at the Howard Street Inn during the winter, and it was SUPER busy because of the Bears’ game, but they were able to seat us with no issues, the staff was wonderful, and I have never had my food allergies catered to in such an amazing way. The owner is such a nice guy too! We will be back.

— Heather S.

Lisa Kay Photography is fantastic with headshots! Very professional and easy to work with.

We’ve gone to Timber Ridge Lodge in Lake Geneva and celebrated my daughter’s winter birthday numerous times with friends. They have a kitchenette in the rooms, and you receive passes for the indoor water park.

Playtime Pup Ranch is incredible. The love and attention our dog gets there is priceless, and their crate-free boarding is great. We’ve boarded our Payton there for our wedding, part of our honeymoon and on random weekends. The owner and the staff are very professional. Highly recommend.

I used The Perfect Car Wash & Detailing in Jefferson Park for my Jeep. It turned out great, and the employees were wonderful to deal with. I recommend them and will definitely go back.

Make plans for Santa’s Village drive-thru Christmas lights next year. They have a little thing at the end where kids can do snowless sledding, take pictures with lots of lights and buy some food. The sledding and lights are included in the price of the car. If you follow them on Facebook, they sometimes will offer mid-week deals.

Touché’s version of this Parisian staple is a thick 12-ounce NY strip or eight-ounce filet, cooked to your liking with a bordelaise (wine-and-marrow-based brown sauce) or au poivre (bold, creamy peppercorn pan sauce), all with a pad of butter melting over the top as it arrives at your table. Worth mentioning, too, that Wednesdays are half-price bottles of wine at Touche, and martinis are $8 on Thursdays.
