Group of seven children outdoors on a sunny path, holding up papers and drawings with smiles.

I highly recommend Brickton Montessori if you are looking for an authentic and nurturing school for your children. The teachers at Brickton are passionate and caring, and my children truly feel this is a home away from home. My two children are very different individuals, and I love that this school embraces their individuality and talents. They are able to spend some time doing what they love each day, and are also challenged to tackle all areas of academic work. Children leave Brickton well prepared for their next school and with a sense of confidence, responsibility and love of learning that will help them succeed in all areas of life.

Skye Music comes to your home for private music lessons. The owner is local, and my son has been taking electric guitar lessons since October and loves it.

My two brothers purchased suits at Suits 20/20 in Niles and were very content with their purchase. More recently, we were getting fitted for one of their weddings, and the professionalism is second to none. I’m always coming back here. You can’t beat the prices or the quality product

What started as the first step at Kickhouse soon turned into a passion that would carry me through an incredible weight-loss journey and a complete transformation of body and mind.”

In 2019, I made a decision that changed my life — I walked into my first kickboxing class at Kickhouse here in Park Ridge. I was so nervous, unsure and, honestly, intimidated, but it was the best decision I ever made.

I was at a point where I knew I needed to take control of my health and well-being. What started as the first step soon turned into a passion that would carry me through an incredible weight-loss journey and a complete transformation of body and mind. I’ve lost more than 60 pounds, but what I’ve gained is even more powerful: confidence, strength, friendships and a renewed sense of purpose.

Kickboxing is more than just a workout for me — it is therapy, motivation and discipline all rolled into one. … The community here is strong, supportive and real. We cheer each other on, celebrate the wins — big or small — and lift each other up when things get tough.

First Watch on Mannheim in Des Plaines is a great spot for breakfast or lunch, and it’s easy access to O’Hare if you want a meal before or after airport pickup or drop-off. They also have an online wait list, which is very helpful if you’ll be going at a busy time.

After hiring a handyman, who said they could install an outdoor TV but who then failed completely, I called HDInstalls. I believe it was the owner who came out to my house, and he was excellent. I would use them again for any audio/video needs.

Mully’s Grill

With its great location, innovative setup and generous offerings, Mully’s Grill is poised to become a go-to spot for good food, great drinks and interactive entertainment. I opted for the Mully’s cheeseburger, featuring a special Mully’s sauce and paired with cheese fries. All of it was delicious and complemented the venue’s laid-back atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back to try a few Greek dishes.

I was looking for a reasonably priced document shredding company for my business and found Shred First, who were so great, responsive and reasonable.

I came to Beautifully New Med Spa for my first time doing Botox, and Julia made me feel so comfortable. She has a gift in understanding her clients and what’s most important to each person to help them feel confident and beautiful.

I came to Beautifully New Med Spa for my first time doing Botox, and I couldn’t be happier! Julia is incredible, and I wouldn’t trust anyone else. Given it was my first time, I was reluctant and not totally clear on what I wanted. Julia made me feel so comfortable, had a beautiful and natural vision for me, and started out slow to make sure I felt comfortable and like myself. She has a gift in understanding her clients and what’s most important to each person to help them feel confident and beautiful. She followed up multiple times afterward to make sure I was happy. It is very clear that making people feel the best version of themselves is her true passion.

Shout out to Park Ridge Pickups! I needed a couch moved out of my house, so I called and they were able to move the couch out in less than an hour at a great price. Nice guys and local too.

— Carol P.

AMVETS, a veterans service organization, will pick up donations from your doorstep. You can go online and schedule a pickup, and then you put it out on your porch that morning. Very convenient and a great cause.

October Cafe is by far the best coffee shop around Chicagoland. The coffee flights change and always come with a wonderful theme. The owners are friendly, wonderful, strong women who show so much compassion for the community. I am blessed to have found this cafe, as a place that is relaxing and cozy and feels like home. Thank you October Cafe for making a place for fundraising, as well as local artists, crafters and other entrepreneurs to sell their items. 10 out of 10 stars across the board.

The Real Park Ridge enjoyed being part of their official @parkridgechamber ribbon cutting at 545 Busse Highway (next to Dick Pond) earlier this week.

Beautiful space, an experienced and local team of medical professionals, and a respected nationwide brand covering everything from primary care and urgent care to speech therapy and behavioral health. What more could you ask for?
