Q: Many of your online reviews use the words “caring,” “nurturing” and “sweet” to describe your staff. As a business owner, how does that make you feel?

As a business owner, this gives me an immense sense of pride. We are on a mission at Beautifully New to help every patient who walks through our door make their life the best story ever written. Some of our core values are service, authenticity and respect, and I feel like these align with our reviews and everything the practice stands for. We have such loyal patients, and I hope that our caring and nurturing manner has something to do with that!

The VIP membership is essentially an all-access, backstage pass to fantastic skin! It is an investment in yourself, and our patients benefit so much from this program.

Q: Tell us a bit about Beautifully New’s VIP membership opportunity and how it can benefit clients year-round.

The VIP membership is essentially an all-access, backstage pass to fantastic skin! It is an investment in yourself, and our patients benefit so much from this program. Our patients commit for a minimum of six months, and included in this membership is a hydra-facial or micro-needling treatment every month, $12 per unit price for Botox or Dysport, discounted rates on laser treatments, and 10% off medical care skincare products. This is such a fantastic investment and a way to keep your skin in the best condition possible every season of the year.

Q: Explain what a thread lift is and how it can help give immediate results without surgery.

Thread lifts are a favorite at Beautifully New. Threads serve as bio-stimulants, effectively triggering our body’s response to initiate self-healing. We treat our patients with MINT PDO threads. They encompass lifting and thickening varieties and are positioned between the mid to deep dermal tissue.

Thread lifts stimulate collagen production, and over time as the threads are naturally absorbed, your own collagen replaces them in the treated area.

Another reason they are a favorite is they are molded into a press and not cut, which gives them their strength. Their placement stimulates collagen production, and over time as the threads are naturally absorbed, your own collagen replaces them in the treated area. It gives an instant lift without surgery.

Q: What’s the latest technology you’re implementing when it comes to treating sun damage, and what do you recommend for protecting ourselves going forward?

The newest technology at Beautifully New is the Moxi laser and VISIA skin analysis. The Moxi is a non-ablative laser that provides fractionated laser energy to the skin to reduce skin damage and signs of aging. It promotes new cell growth and reduces unwanted pigment. This laser is everyone’s favorite with minimal downtime, and it’s a 12-15 minute procedure.

VISIA skin analysis is the perfect way to evaluate the health of our patients’ skin, areas that can be improved, and our “skin age.” While it may sound intimidating, it’s an excellent tool for our injectors and aestheticians to help guide patients toward their skincare goals. It’s a great tool to compare at the start of treatment, during and after. It’s very rewarding!

Wondering what’s happening to the old @thalaivasin Wondering what’s happening to the old @thalaivasindiankitchen space on Main Street? During a recent lunch, we were filled in on the plans for Mandram, which means “a place where people gather.”

Operated by the owners of the popular Thalaiva’s, we’re told to expect an assortment of small sandwiches and kati rolls (a type Indian wrap with butter chicken or chicken tikka masala inside), as well as customized fresh juices blended in front of you and milkshakes made of dried fruit and nuts.

Keep an eye out for the upcoming fall issue of The Real Park Ridge for more details about Mandram, opening in September.

The southwest chicken salad at @howardstreetinn

Keeping it light: This is not your normal sports bar menu. Far from it, actually, and it’s easy to fall in love with a new dish each time you stop by. The menu is that robust. Perfect for summer, in our mind, is the southwest chicken salad that has grilled chicken breast topped with fresh pico de gallo, corn and grated cheddar served over a bed of chopped romaine lettuce — all packed in a crispy baked tortilla shell. Throw on a little spicy ranch dressing and pair with a cold draft beer and you’re set. And pretty guilt free.

And did we mention Howard Street has arguably the best daily drink specials in the area?
