For first time skiers, go to Devil’s Head near Baraboo, Wisconsin. The hills are longer in length than Wilmot and Alpine Valley, and there are quite a few beginner runs. I also recommend their lessons for kids and adults.

We had the unfortunate experience of having our car broken into outside of our hotel in Milwaukee this fall, and they shattered the passenger side window. After a little research online, I called Viper Auto Glass (773-592-3131) and couldn’t believe how quickly they got back to me and how affordable the quote was compared to a few others I got. They came to my house the next day and cleaned out the glass in my car and installed a new window. Can’t recommend them enough in regard to taking the worry about of an otherwise distressing situation. My car looked like it had been detailed when they were done.

They have given me great advice and dependable HVAC service. … I always feel like I am in good hands with Home Comfort.”

I have used Home Comfort Services for heating and air conditioning for many years, and they are always on time, friendly and efficient. They have given me great advice and dependable service. … I always feel like I am in good hands with Home Comfort.

If there is a 10-star option, Northwind Exteriors should get it! They came highly recommended by a neighbor who had used them. I found them to be a very caring team that strives to do a great job. My 36 year-year-old home looks brand new, and the color is stunning. They were responsive to all of my questions, walked me through the insurance process, and the clean up was spotless. I would highly recommend!

I was blown away by the support and thoughtfulness that Tim Perry put into helping me sell my condo. I live out of state and needed someone that could basically be my eyes and ears on site. Also, if there was anything that needed to get fixed or literally anything else, he got it all done. Best realtor experience I have ever had. Thank you Tim!

Sky on Nine inside the Holiday Inn Express in Rosemont is brand new and it’s beautiful for events! I had my wedding there this August. The food was incredible, and they were so great to work with.

Ellen Yearwood with Yearwood and Associates in Des Plaines is very knowledgeable in family law. She will give you a free call to make sure she’s able to help you and has payment plans available if needed.

Renata’s Organic Skincare & Spa was the most amazing and relaxing experience of my life. My skin was glowing and my mood was lifted. If you’re looking for a relaxing experience and excellent skin care, come here.

— Sarah

I wanted to give a shoutout to Green Tech Plumbing for saving my holiday.

For a contractor, try Masters Kitchen and Bath. While the quote they give you won’t be the cheapest, it won’t go up no matter what they find during the demo process. They renovated my upstairs bathroom and put in a bathroom downstairs where there was nothing. They are true professionals. No surprises and trustworthy.

— Carolyn

The teachers and staff at Brickton Montessori School are welcoming and truly care about their students. The children, across all ages and grades, help each other to learn and grow and quickly become best friends. We are so happy that we decided to join the Brickton family!

I was kind of nervous, but Uptown Med Spa did a great job explaining every type of Botox and which one would work best for my metabolism and what to expect over the next couple of days.”

Laurie at Uptown Med Spa did such an incredible job with my first time getting Botox. I was kind of nervous, but she did a great job explaining every type of Botox and which one would work best for my metabolism and what to expect over the next couple of days. The office is super cute and clean, with great parking right outside. I cannot wait to book my next appointment. She even discussed a timeline for maintenance and when to get other fillers before my wedding and even discussed options for sun damage for my skin that I was interested in hearing about. Happy I found my new med spa!!

— Sarah M.

Thank you to Park Ridge Pickups, one of our town’s best resources. They came and moved all my Christmas stuff from the basement, set up my tree and even came back to take the heavy boxes back down the stairs. Thank you Kyle and company!!!

— Barb D.

Anyone who hasn’t tried Leila Love Macarons on Higgins, they have cakes and high tea, birthday parties and classes. And after eating this amazing deliciousness that brought my family immense joy, we will be signing up for those!

TBD Fitness in Elk Grove Village is amazing. They strength train athletes in order to strengthen the weak areas of their body and avoid injury. They have been a tremendous help with my two kids. They focus on strengthening the areas of injury. Mason is our trainer and he is amazing.
