2 Sisters Boutique, previously located in the Pickwick Theatre building, moved down the street this fall into the former Subway shop at 33 S. Prospect in Uptown. We chatted with owner Natalie Amabile about her new digs and what shoppers can find this winter.

Q: What was it like for you on the first day in your new location?

A: I was so overwhelmed and grateful by the love I received from all of my customers. So many people have come in and shown their support and have expressed delight in having a larger selection.

Our new location provides more space, and the decor is so fresh and exciting! When you walk in, you can’t help but feel good! Everyone loves our “Hello Gorgeous” wall for Instagram pictures! There are a lot of small touches that really make the new space stand out.

For winter and spring fashions, it is all about the soft touch. … Comfortable for the days of staying in and binging the next must-see-TV series, but cute enough to go out and run errands or hang out with friends.

Q: Describe some of the fun winter and spring fashions that are available.

A: For winter and spring fashions, it is all about the soft touch. I like to call it from-couch-to-out fashion. Comfortable for the days of staying in and binging the next must-see-TV series, but cute enough to go out and run errands or hang out with friends. Camo, leopard and tie-dye prints are still holding strong.

Q: Tell us a bit about the new men’s section at the store.

A: 2 Sisters A&L is named after my daughters, Ava and Lily. Our new section is called Brother J’s, named after my son Johnny, and is our new section of menswear. I have always wanted to expand the store and thought that this would be the perfect way to do it.

I felt that men’s clothing wasn’t something you could really find here in Park Ridge, so it was the perfect thing to add to the store. This way, we are able to expand our audience and provide something that was missing in our community!

We offer everything from denim, button downs, casual wear and shoes. Along with a small assortment of fun men’s accessories. Since we know most people are working from home nowadays, we wanted to provide that casual but cool vibe.

2 Sisters is located at 33 S. Prospect Ave. in Uptown Park Ridge.

Wondering what’s happening to the old @thalaivasin Wondering what’s happening to the old @thalaivasindiankitchen space on Main Street? During a recent lunch, we were filled in on the plans for Mandram, which means “a place where people gather.”

Operated by the owners of the popular Thalaiva’s, we’re told to expect an assortment of small sandwiches and kati rolls (a type Indian wrap with butter chicken or chicken tikka masala inside), as well as customized fresh juices blended in front of you and milkshakes made of dried fruit and nuts.

Keep an eye out for the upcoming fall issue of The Real Park Ridge for more details about Mandram, opening in September.

The southwest chicken salad at @howardstreetinn

Keeping it light: This is not your normal sports bar menu. Far from it, actually, and it’s easy to fall in love with a new dish each time you stop by. The menu is that robust. Perfect for summer, in our mind, is the southwest chicken salad that has grilled chicken breast topped with fresh pico de gallo, corn and grated cheddar served over a bed of chopped romaine lettuce — all packed in a crispy baked tortilla shell. Throw on a little spicy ranch dressing and pair with a cold draft beer and you’re set. And pretty guilt free.

And did we mention Howard Street has arguably the best daily drink specials in the area?
