We recently jumped aboard the Seadog Haunted River Tour from @citycruises which runs Thursday-Sunday through Oct. 31. The 45-minute BYOB cruise explores the haunted history of the Windy City and offers some of the best views you will get anywhere, all while getting you into the Halloween spirit with some spooky storytelling.

Shredded chicken (or ground beef, skirt steak or chorizo), rice and refried beans covered in suiza sauce, melted chihuahua cheese, sour cream and guacamole. In other words... perfection. Pairs rather well with a frozen strawberry margarita, Modelo or mojito.

Looking to make the most of these lingering summer Looking to make the most of these lingering summer temps? Try half-price pasta Mondays on the patio at the new @fireandwinege in Uptown Park Ridge. We enjoyed the chicken carbonara with linguini, bacon, spinach, pecorino romano and a parmesan cream sauce, as well as the lobster fra diavolo with pennoni pasta, shrimp, lobster and mushrooms in a spicy tomato sauce. For an appetizer, the calamari and shrimp fritti. Check out their happy hour running Monday-Thursday from 4-5:30 p.m. as well.
