Q: How important has year-round skin protection become, especially for the younger generations?

A: Year-round skin protection is more important than ever, especially with younger generations being so skincare-savvy. A lot of their education actually comes from TikTok, sometimes accurate, sometimes… let’s just say, “creative.” But it’s definitely driving awareness. SPF is now seen as an everyday essential, not just a summer step, which is a big shift in how people think about prevention and long-term skin health.

Q: What’s the best advice you have for clients when it comes to protecting themselves from the sun?

A: Keep it simple and consistent: SPF every single day (rain or shine), reapply when you’re outdoors, and don’t rely on makeup with SPF as your only protection. Add a hat or physical coverage when you’re in direct sun. It’s underrated but incredibly effective. And for long-term skin health, pair your SPF with preventive serums that support tone and texture, like antioxidants in the morning and retinoids at night. It’s really that combo of protection + repair that keeps skin healthy and even over time.

Q: What are a few of the more popular skincare treatments offered at Uptown Med Spa?

A: Uptown Med Spa offers some of the most popular skin treatments clients consistently love, including microneedling for collagen and texture, HydraFacials for deep cleansing and hydration, chemical peels for tone and brightness, and BBL/Moxi for overall skin rejuvenation, pigmentation and long-term skin quality improvement.

Q: Give us three of your favorite, most trusted skin-care products right now.

A: 1. Skinbetter Science Tone Smart Compact SPF — This is my favorite for on-the-go sun protection with a beautiful tint that evens out skin tone while actually protecting the skin barrier.

2. Hydrinity Hyacyn Active Purifying Mist — a refreshing, barrier-supporting mist that helps calm, hydrate and prep the skin throughout the day.

3. iS Clinical Pro-Heal Serum Advance+ — a powerhouse antioxidant serum that helps with redness, breakouts and overall skin healing and glow.

We have a three-treatment microneedling package that’s perfect for improving texture, fine lines and overall collagen support.

Q: What promotions or new procedures do you have coming up at Uptown Med Spa that people should know about?

A: We have a Microneedling special through June 30: Buy a package of three treatments and get a $100 rebate. Perfect for improving texture, fine lines and overall collagen support.

Also, a HydraFacial platinum package: Get three platinum HydraFacials for $599 (saving $150). Ideal for deep cleansing, hydration and that instant glow boost.

Both are great options for building consistency and really seeing long-term skin results.
