We have had such an amazing experience at MPowered Orthodontics! We came here at the recommendation of our pediatric dentist, and my daughter was feeling pretty anxious about the prospect of having to get braces. Her canine teeth were growing at an angle so we needed some kind of intervention. Dr. Milena was wonderful. Her staff was always so warm, welcoming and patient with us. They were extremely thorough when explaining what treatment she needed, and all of the follow-up appointments were super smooth and easy to schedule after school hours.

The office itself is so inviting and peaceful. Love the decor too! So much positivity. It really warmed my heart to come here. We are coming back here for a consult on my next kiddo, and I would highly recommend this office to anyone who needs braces. What a lovely orthodontic practice.

The staff at Goldfish Swim School makes everything so easy. My daughter has a great time in class and doesn’t even realize how much she’s learning.

Hay Caramba was one the original restaurants in Park Ridge and is still one of the places you can always count on. This family-owned restaurant has a great ambiance and amazing drinks. It’s been a Friday ritual for our family after Maine South sports events for many years.

Orange Shoe Personal Fitness

I have good friends who raved about the Lakeview Orange Shoe personal training and group fitness classes, so I was thrilled to see Orange Shoe Personal Fitness here in Park Ridge! Talha, the owner, is the real deal. His business provides everything that I look for in a gym/trainer. He is professional, personable and responsive to my health and fitness needs. The gym itself is clean and free from social gym goers found in the larger gyms.

Cost was a factor for me, as it is for most, but the old adage “You get what you pay for” holds true. Investing in your health is never a mistake. I would recommend this gym to all my friends, from the novice to the health impaired to those who want to up their strength or mobility. The personalization is unlike any other gym I’ve been to in the past.

The staff at Goldfish Swim School makes everything so easy. My daughter has a great time in class and doesn’t even realize how much she’s learning. The instructors give constructive criticism and are so helpful showing technique and encouragement. She loves going to Goldfish!

I have lived in Naples, Florida for years, and nothing comes close to the amazing ladies at Uptown Med Spa in Park Ridge. I’ve gotten so many compliments. … They deserve 15 stars.

Uptown Med Spa

There is a level of knowledge and such precision when making you feel and look your best. I have lived in Naples, Florida for years, and nothing comes close to the amazing ladies at Uptown Med Spa in Park Ridge. I’ve gotten so many compliments on my fillers. They deserve 15 stars. Thank you so much for listening and taking five years off my face without pushing product. I will be back soon.

If you’re looking for an absolutely phenomenal tub refinisher, call Luiz Saucedo (708-501-2233). He will make your dinged-up, old cast-iron tub look brand new again. Very reasonably priced and top notch work. He does tile and counter refinishing as well.

Tanuki Sushi & Grill in the city is delicious and BYOB. I really like their veggie sushi, and they have good Thai dishes too.

Mystic Rogue

One place that that I went to recently that I really enjoyed is a newer Irish pub in Norwood Park called Mystic Rogue. One of my closest friends married a man from Ireland, and it’s a favorite of his. We met them for dinner, and I literally felt like I was in Ireland. The food was so good and fresh, and the atmosphere was awesome. Highly recommend checking it out.

Paul Motin from Robbins DiMonte as a living will attorney. I just used him to make sure my parents have all their paperwork in order, and he was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and very fairly priced.

Cucina Biagio in Harwood Heights is a great spot for authentic Italian and private parties. We’ve celebrated anniversaries, birthdays, christenings and communions there. Rose, the owner, will take care of you. Such a friendly staff, and the atmosphere, ambiance and delicious food will have you coming back for more. It’s been a staple of ours for family gatherings for many years.
