Tunnel to Towers 9/11 NEVER FORGET mobile exhibit visits Rosemont May 9-10
Rosemont’s Parkway Bank Park entertainment district (5501 Park Place) is welcoming the Tunnel to Towers 9/11 NEVER FORGET mobile exhibit on May 9-10, offering visitors a powerful look at the events of September 11, 2001.
Created by the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, this traveling tribute features an 83-foot tractor-trailer transformed into an 1,100-square-foot interactive exhibit, showcasing artifacts from Ground Zero, audio recordings, video footage and more. As the exhibit makes its stop in Rosemont, it provides a unique opportunity for the community to honor the heroes and victims of 9/11, while ensuring their stories continue to be shared and remembered.
The exhibit, which is free to the public, will be open at Parkway Bank Park on Friday, May 9 from 2-8 p.m. and Saturday, May 10 from 12-6 p.m. Tours of the exhibit will be led by eyewitness first responders, who will share firsthand accounts of their experiences on 9/11.
Parking for the exhibition is available at the Parkway Bank Park parking garage and is free with validation from any of the park’s venues. For more information, visit ParkwayBankPark.com

First Park Ridge Market After Dark happens May 31
Get excited, as last summer’s fun new addition to our community events calendar is back — and guaranteed to be even better in its second go-round. Market After Dark, located in the same parking lot location as the Park Ridge Farmer’s Market (15 Prairie Ave.), was a huge success in its first year. And the Chamber of Commerce committee is hard at work at adding even more options to the schedule for year two.
Featuring a variety of food and art vendors, mixed with small-business pop-ups, live entertainment and a large, handpicked rotation of local guest breweries, wineries and distilleries, this event is the type of summer street party everyone can enjoy.
Market After Dark will again take place from 4:30-9:30 p.m. one Saturday per month — this year’s dates are May 31, June 21 and Aug. 23 — and tasting options will be available for the various distilleries, breweries and wineries. For more information and updates, visit MarketAfterDark.com
