Oktoberfest in Rosemont: Hofbrauhaus Chicago’s seasonal celebration runs through Oct. 31

Hofbräuhaus Chicago, located in Rosemont’s Parkway Bank Park entertainment district, has its Oktoberfest celebration running through Oct. 31 with live Bavarian entertainment, traditional lederhosen and dirndls, and plenty of seasonal Oktoberfestbier — all inspired by the original Hofbräuhaus in Munich.

Fun fact: Hofbrauhaus Chicago is the only place outside of Munich that brews Oktoberfestbier onsite, and the recipe is more than 400 years old.

Covid safety precautions are obviously in place, so expect socially-distanced tables, upgraded sanitation procedures and health checks for all guests (who are required wear masks when not seated). Plus, a heated tent over the beer garden is up.

Sing along to the Zicke Zacke Party Band Thursday-Sunday nights beginning at 5 p.m., and snack on German favorites like wienerschnitzel, sausage plates, jumbo pretzels, pork shank, sauerbraten and peach walnut strusel.

Hofbräuhaus Chicago is located at 5500 Park Place in Rosemont’s Parkway Bank Park. Valet parking is available for a minimal charge, and garage parking is free with validation. (847) 671-2739. hbchicago.com
